WorksafeBC Public Hearing On Proposed Regulatory Amendments To OHSR

WorkSafeBC will be holding a virtual public hearing on proposed amendments to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation. The virtual public hearing will be streamed live on May 14, 2024, in two sessions. The first will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the second from 3 to 5 p.m.

I would recommend that all employers that have combustible dust present in their facility attend or review the upcoming changes in regulations. This is a significant change that will have impacts on the way you manage combustible dust in your facility. This is the last public hearing before the proposed changes are moved to the final review and approval. Once it is approved it will become law in 90 days.
